The way they lay our their butcher counter and the produce section is just so beautiful. Ready to cook just thinking about it.

This review is about Soraya. I've been shopping at Bryan's for a while now and I always try to go in Soraya's line. She always smiles at me and treats me as if I'm her only customer. She's smart, quick, and even puts my heavy bag in my cart. She's one reason I shop at Bryan's

Last weekend I went into Bryan's to buy a whole half wild king salmon. I know it's the end of the season and it's spendy, but Bryan's was no more expensive than anywhere else in the Bay Area - and their fillet was beautiful. Not to mention, they filleted it on the spot after I talked to the nice, young fishmonger. He pulled the pin bones (I didn't ask!) and the top was smooth and perfect, without random cuts or holes in the top. They're pros, they're honest, they're outstanding. Loyal new fan here.

The seafood section is usually outstanding. However, crabcakes purchased on Wednesday, September 3 left much to be desired. No crab taste that I could discern. And the crab was indistinguishable from the filler which tasted like sawdust.

Lovely selection of cheeses for charcuterie. Beautiful produce and flowers.

Even the cashiers here are grass fed.

Definitely on the pricier side, but everything there is incredibly high quality and the employees are wonderful. I needed rhubarb (in season) for a dessert I was making and Bryan’s was the only place in the whole city that carried it—they even offered to set some aside for me! The seafood there is the freshest tasting that I’ve gotten from a grocery store. Highly recommend for fellow home cooks looking for more obscure ingredients, Bryan’s has incredible picks; from pure yuzu juice to fancy imported French butter with the crunchy salt crystals :)

The things they have are excellent… and expensive. However, there’s a lot they don’t have.
