Rabbi Caryn and Judaism Your Way helped me reaffirm my faith in Judaism after experiencing severe vicarious trauma as a therapist, after a school shooting in Denver/in my neighborhood. I saw below that someone said that JYW is apolitical and this couldn't be further from the truth. I've learned so much about the reality in 2025 of anti Jewish contempt/hate- which is something I've been experiencing this year, because Rabbi Caryn talks about it so much. I highly recommend this community, especially if you like Judaism and you like nature and it matters to you that your Rabbi doesn't just talk the talk.. she walks the walk. Check out Rabbi Caryn's new book, too- which as a licensed psychotherapist I can tell you is truly what so many of us Jews have needed called, "Unlearning Jewish Anxiety." Thankful for the possibility of finding a synagogue where I don't feel "othered" for having tattoos, or because I come from an interfaith family. Definitely recommend.

I was excited to attend high holiday services at the Denver Botanic Gardens. After going to erev Rosh Hashanah services however, I've decided to stop supporting this organization. Judaism Your Way commits to being apolitical. This means at almost a year to the day of October 7th and on the eve of the Jewish New Year, there was no mention of the horrible atrocities of last year's simchat torah. Let me be clear as a jewish woman, there is nothing political about holding space for the victims and hostages of the largest massacre of jews since the Shoah. I'm shocked this org claims to live by the "Torah of Inclusion." I was expecting a place of community after a year of hardship and instead found a rabbi in training talking about the failings of screen time and the negatives of technology. I wish I could get my donation back and give it to an organization that supports our people.

Just came from Yom Kippur services. Had hoped for some spirituality instead felt like I was in an SNL skit; they are so obsessed with being politically correct they forgot the religious component. Interesting enough all the young people I was sitting near felt the same way. None of us will go again; Very disappointed!!

Rabbi Caryn is absolutely amazing! She presided over our wedding ceremony with warmth, kindness, inclusiveness and an amazing singing voice. She was able to include all the religious components that meant a lot to us, while minimizing those that we felt were not a reflection of our joint values and preferences. She spoke beautifully and all our guests commented on what an amazing ceremony we had. We could not recommend her enough for a wedding ceremony! A++

They do an amazing job of fulfilling their mission in everything they do. Rabbi Caryn Aviv is my favorite.
