JFS Care at Home has been a wonderful partner to our family in helping care for our mother. They have provided us with an aide who feels like a supportive friend and has become an important part of our family. We have had very good experiences with the substitute aides that fill in on occasion. I believe that is due in large part to the fact that agency staff are an active part of the care process. Our Care Coordinator, Donna, checks in with us regularly; makes visits to our mother to see how she is and how care is going. She communicates changes in schedules well and demonstrates real concern for us as a family and for her team. Bringing someone into your home to provide care is a big step and can have lots of emotion involved. It's not always easy, but our experience with JFS Care at Home has been a smooth and comforting experience. Highly recommend!

Almost one month ago I received an email asking for donations for back packs for needy students. I tried several times [several times]to put in my donation for 3 (three)backpacks plus the additional c.c. fees but the website would not accept it. Not only would it not accept it ...... it was not allowing me to make it in honor of joan margolis and staff who had taken excellent care of my holocaust parents. So I called family services, asked who was taking care of backpack donations.I left the person a voice message. Today September 6th I got a call. The person [ Not giving out the name because who cares]was apologetic for the lateness of the return call....... but i'm no longer donating. If I could spell Yiddish word for "shame ", That's what I would use for the leader ship of Jewish family today.

New owners and everything is so different now thier. 100% do not suggest this place. They make u wait over 3 months to see someone. But don't take new patients after 4 month's of waiting. New owners and staff are not experienced with the community and im my eye's they dont have any sense of importance.

Well known in the community for professionalism and service to support local adults, children and families in need of basic human services, i.e. food, clothes, mental health counseling, financial planning, education, employment transition services, holocaust survivor assistance. Proud to part of their exceptional staff as well as a grateful community member.

JFS has been a wonderful place to volunteer and also has assisted my family in times of need. The staff is warm and welcoming, but also completely professional and confidential. Anne Danaher, Joan Margolis, Patti Weiner and the entire team at JFS make this community a better place and I am so grateful for all they do.
