Impeccable, authentic food and flavors! A must-eat destination on every trip to DC.

Had a nice dinner at the bar. Bartender, MacKenzie, was well versed on menu selections. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. I got two small plates and a kabob dinner with drinks. $100- excellent value for DC. Left full and satisfied.

Good food. Good level of noise (we were able to have a business conversation). Our waitress was a bit junior but did her best. She was good at making sure that we ordered in right quantity so not to waste food.

A fantastic dinner last night at Sababa, on our first visit. Rating a casual ethnic restaurant like this with five stars is not the same as five stars for the best French restaurant in Washington DC, but for the type of restaurant and experience it was it deserves five stars. Delicious drinks, fantastic food, and a charming server named Yousef. A gift certificate drew us there, but without question we'll be back. We loved it.

Unfortunately, me and my husband had diarrhea after dinner. I had pain in my stomach. I suspect some ingredients are not fresh or the food is premade and not well kept.

The food was under seasoned and there was hair in my meal. I told the waitress about this and she scoffed and walked away. I then told the manager and he said that he’d take legal action if I didn’t stop. I tried to compromise since I was already grossed out at this point but they also tried charging me extra for my meal! This place is ridiculous. And they serve Egyptian, Lebanese, Syrian, and PALESTINIAN cuisine - not “Israeli”.

Not impressed. Citrus salad had no citrus. Was mostly bitter. Portions are incredibly small for the price. Chicken schnitzel was average at best. Overall the modern touch has lost the plot with the real Israeli experience.

Every bite was delicious. The staff was excellent and kind and attentive. One of the best meals I have had in a while.

Hats off to Chef! The food at Sababa was exquisite, delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish looked like a piece of art and tasted amazing. Special thank you to our waiter, Colletta, for the attentive and friendly service.
