Too Expensive. Spent 19.80 for an 'ok tasting" Pastrami Reuben. Won't be returning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Washington, DC Gem! Wagshal’s is more than a deli — it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you feel the tradition, care, and pride that have made this place special for generations. The food is exceptional, the ingredients are top quality, and every bite shows the craftsmanship and passion behind what they do. The sandwiches are unforgettable, the flavors are authentic, and the attention to detail is outstanding. What impressed me most was the warmth of the staff. My group ate there nearly everyday for 3 weeks while in the DC area. Great food is wonderful, but great people make a place memorable — and Wagshal’s delivers both. Thank you for keeping the heart and soul of a true neighborhood deli alive. Washington, DC is blessed to have a place like this. I highly recommend Wagshal’s to anyone who appreciates excellent food, tradition, and genuine hospitality! We love you and will miss ya’ll!! The Group from Florida ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

RATS, RATS, RATS!!! Rats strolling around the place and the staff oblivious and accepting the fact that they have rats. I will be notifying DC government.

Haven't been there in a Long time due transportation issues. Was always my favorite for European sytle Liverwurst sandwich. Only Wagshal's Store reminds me of old fashion Deli.

This is their “Detroit style pizza”. A frozen thin slice of dough with a bunch of cheese. 😂. Horrible. All I need to say.

Wagshal’s is one of a kind. The meats and seafood are as good as you’ll get in the DMV. It ain’t cheap but you get what you pay for - reliable first rate with impeccable service. The ground beef is as good as it gets. It’s our go to place.

Lucky to have a small, independent shop with such high quality meat and seafood nearby! The staff are also wonderful.

I absolutely love this market because it feels like you are stepping into a true neighborhood staple. The quality of the meats and the prepared foods is consistently impressive, and you can tell they really care about what they are stocking on their shelves. Every time I visit, the staff is so friendly and ready to help me find exactly what I need for a good meal. It is such a gem to have a place like this nearby.

Wagshals is supposed to close at 8:00 pm. I arrived as Wagshals at 7:40 and the doors were locked. People were running around and I knocked on the door , they saw me and they ignored me.

Really disappointed. They have 2 stores in the shopping center. We went in the first one and asked for pastrami and were told that they didn’t carry it. They also didn’t have sandwiches etc. we were not told there was another location just a few storefronts over but we did see it as we headed to the car. We went in but still no pastrami so we left.

Staffer returned call but from a private number and at first said he was not from wagshal's and would not identify himself until after 20 questions--and nothing but huffy attitude--he said he was from wagshals. then followed up with a txt--which was inappropriate. After 25 years of seeing the customer service deteriorate for products that have always been super expensive, I'm taking my money elsewhere. Rude, inappropriate, creepy.
