When my mother’s cognitive decline became evident to us last July, we knew it would be impossible for her to continue living completely independently in her Boca Raton apartment, but we wanted her to maintain as much independence as possible. A previous experience with a different Aide/Companion company was marked by inconsistency and poor communications, so we were nervous about where to turn for support. It didn’t help that I lived in Atlanta and my brother lived in New York. But from our very first phone call, everyone at JFS at Home met us with equal parts compassion and professionalism, taking the time to understand not only my mother’s needs, personality and demeanor, but the needs of our family, as well. When a stroke sent Mom to the hospital, every member of her team rose to the challenge – from visiting her in the hospital to providing daily support at the rehab center that followed, often anticipating Mom’s needs before Mom realized them herself. I'm fully convinced that their presence contributed significantly to Mom’s physical recovery, and probably kept her continued cognitive decline from accelerating faster than it has JFS at Home has been the difference between feeling panicked/terrified for my mother’s health and feeling concerned but reassured of her wellbeing. Everyone at JFS at Home has come together to help hold us aloft as we navigated into uncharted and challenging times for us and for our mother. I truly don’t know what we would have done without you.

JFS is a wonderful organization. They have satisfied all my needs. They helped me in my job search and they helped me with an aid for my mom. I’m Sure, they rise to the occasion for everybody.

JFS at home took care of my grandmother for a few years while we struggled as a family through her diagnosis of Alzheimer's. The love and patience they showed not only my grandmother but my entire family is something we will never forget. Amazing people amazing agency.

First, it was my mom in need of care, and that became 24/7, and months after she passed, my dad needed assistance at home, and the JFS Team have been doing that home care/assistance work, as and when needed (super flexible if hours need to be adjusted), with compassion, and always in a professional and attentive manner. JFS has made it possible for both of them to keep living in their familiar home surroundings, which is priceless.

No matter what time of day, the staff and care givers, have responded quickly to our needs; professionally and with the utmost compassion. They have made the difficult task of caring for a loved one much easier. After “bouncing around” with different agencies we are so grateful to have found JFS @ Home.

I normally do not take the time to write reviews positive or negative. But I was extremely disappointed with this service and the people that work there. There was in incident with an aide and my mother and not only did they fail to do a complete investigation to my satisfaction, but left our family with no care for an elderly person needing 24 hour care. A very poor experience at a time when people are most fragile.

2 years ago Hi Sara, I'm just now seeing this review. So sorry you had that experience. I only recently took charge of our google listing and had I seen it sooner I would have responded. JFS at Home prioritizes safety and continuity of care for our clients. Incidents are fully investigated by HR, and we are bound by AHCA regulations. If any caregiver is found to be in violation and not suitable for this field they are removed. The details of such investigations are not made public due to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations. We have been a client for years now and I have to say so far the aides have been kind and reliable with minor scheduling issues. Once you make it clear what’s required - you’re good to go. One of her aides , every year brings a cake and balloon for her birthday !
