A very welcoming and warm community regardless of your level of practice or knowledge, you will feel at home. The rabbi, his wife and the kids will make you feel like family. Services are beginner friendly and not too long and the Kiddish (lunch) following the services is an authentic homemade family style sit down lunch where you will connect with the community and make friends as the rabbi shares stories of inspiration with a splash of humor. The community is a beautiful mix of Jews from different backgrounds, different ages including many young families. It’s also within the Eruv from Biscyane Park.

You cannot find a more authentic and heartfelt family to spend Shabbat with; I attend Chabad here and feel like I am visiting with my own family. Best Cholent in South Florida hands down. Let’s not forget to mention the home made Challah and dips that make Shabbat even more special.
I didn’t grow up with a particularly strong religious background, so for many years, holidays were traditions I participated in but didn’t always fully understand. Chabad of Miami Shores changed that for me. Rabbi’s sermons have a way of staying with you long after you leave. He shares thoughts that make you reflect on your everyday life, your relationships, and the kind of person you want to be. More than once, I’ve brought home something he said and shared it with my daughter, only to later hear her repeating those same messages of kindness and encouragement to her friends—Jewish and non-Jewish alike. Every holiday is explained with meaning and purpose. You don’t just observe the holidays here; you understand why they matter and why they have brought joy and strength to the Jewish people for generations. And then there is the Shabbat lunch. Not because of abundance or extravagance, but because of the love behind it. The fresh salads, the warmth of the community, and honestly, the cholent—which may very well be the best I’ve ever had—make every Shabbat feel like coming home. One of the most beautiful things to witness is Rabbi interacting with his own children during services. They’re in and out, full of life, and he never misses a beat. Over the years, watching them grow has been inspiring, and you can already see they will become a meaningful part of this community’s future. Despite coming from a remarkable rabbinic lineage, including a grandfather who helped establish the Chabad movement in Miami, Rabbi carries himself with genuine humility. And the Rebbetzin has a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Within moments of walking through the doors, you feel less like a visitor and more like family. Chabad of Miami Shores isn’t simply a synagogue. It’s a place that teaches, inspires, welcomes, and somehow sends you home a little better than when you arrived
Chabad of Miami Shores is much more than a synagogue, it is the heart of the Jewish community in Miami Shores and Biscayne Park. Rabbi Asher is an outstanding leader who makes everyone feel welcome, while Rebbetzin Mushky does an incredible job creating meaningful opportunities for connection through the Women's Circle and many other community events for the holidays. The Shabbat services are beautiful, and the Kiddush that follows feels like sitting down for a meal with family. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members, discuss Judaism, and share life's everyday moments. Chabad also offers weekly Torah classes and one of the most beloved Hebrew schools in the area, providing children with a strong Jewish foundation in a warm and welcoming environment. For anyone looking for a genuine Jewish home and community, I cannot recommend Chabad of Miami Shores highly enough.
