Highly recommend! As in-patient facilities go these days, good ones are not easy to come by. Our 82-year old mother was placed at AVIV In-patient rehab center after spinal surgery. She's there for several weeks. AVIV recommendation came through a friend of a colleague in health profession. Lots of good things to say. FACILITY: clean, safe, comfortable, warm and inviting environment. Community oriented with activities for clients/residents There's a nice, very affordable gift shop; and food is kosher--healthy and tasty. STAFF: caring, friendly, dedicated. They've been very attentive to Mother and competent. CARE: Her medical needs are well-coordinated between the attending physicians, nursing staff, pharmacy and her follow-up appointments. PHYSICAL THERAPY: After a series of spinal surgeries, Mom required intense PT--5 days/week; at least 2 hrs /day. AVIV's therapists, equipment and goal oriented-approach got her back on her feet and well on the road to mobility and independence.
