⭐☆☆☆☆ Our child’s experience at this sleepaway camp was extremely troubling. The camp was unable to rectify serious negative social dynamics in the bunk—even after the issue was escalated all the way up chain of command, including to camp management. Because bunkmates are together all day (& campers do not get to separate out from their bunkmates for daily activities) , our child had no ability to escape persistent bullying; minority children are clearly not embraced or supported at Camp Barney ( See the ‘3* ‘ review below , which was previously a 1*, whereupon another family complains of non-inclusiveness at CBM; this camp has a serious problem). Ultimately, we had to remove our child from camp entirely due to the unsafe environment and the clinical emotional distress she experienced while in their care. Despite this, the camp refused to provide any refund. We cannot recommend this camp for ANY family seeking a safe or inclusive experience. Look elsewhere if you want true diversity and a feeling of wellness for an expensive sleep away camp.

Although the activities are very exciting. Also kids do not pick the activities they do daily. My kid came back telling me all of the counselors were hurtful with their words towards my camper everyday which broke my heart. Not an inclusive environment. Not sure we will be returning to this camp unless changes are made and they teach staff how to interact with children properly.
Best summer of my kids life, but also with the guy who mentioned the e stamps. Should be part of the fortune we pay 🤣 Nonetheless, counting down the days until next summer!
The true place for Jew to have fun🇮🇱

1 helpful voteSon just got back. Sounds like he had a fantastic time...gotta say this tho- how do you justify charging parents to email their kids vis a vis "buying e-stamps ". Mind blowing how we unwittingly play into stereotypes. No need to reply im over it
