Why a 4 for food? My husband I spilt a Buddy Burger (with fries) and a cashew chicken with fried rice. The burger, fries, and rice were delicious. The cashew chicken could have used more seasoning (more flavors but not hot spicey). Our friends ordered pastrami egg rolls, a BBQ beef sandwich, and schwarma. They were happy with the BBQ beef but felt there should have been more meat in the egg rolls and schwarma sandwich. We all agreed the hamburger bun, BBQ beef roll, and pita were all fresh and delicious. Why a 4 for atmosphere? Real silverware would have been nice. The napkins were thin, and we had to use several during the meal. I dislike drinking from styrofoam cups. Tables and bathrooms were clean. Washing sink was easy to locate and use.

Food is excellent, especially the buddy burger which is a masterpiece!!!!! And their popcorn bbq chicken is delish! One of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted! Eat it once and you’ll definitely be back for more!!!!! Fries which come with the buddy burger are delish.

Terrific portions. Great prices for kosher food. There’s about ten more things on the menu I want to try and plan to visit again when I come back to Skokie!

Good food at a good price. Catering is excellent. Food is delicious but it is fast food.

The Great Chicago Food & Beverage Co. has hands down my favorite greasy burger around. The Bay-Ken Burger is an absolute must order and hits the spot every single time. Perfectly messy, packed with flavor, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a classic Chicago comfort burger. What really makes this place special though is the people. I often come in with large groups from a local Jewish organization that serves individuals with I/DD, and the staff and owners are always unbelievably kind, patient, and accommodating. They go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and have even surprised our group with cookies and treats on the house. That kind of generosity and genuine care means a lot to the people we bring and to me personally. Seriously great food and even better people. Please keep supporting this place. They deserve every bit of success.

I come here right around the time it opens, and sometimes in the afternoons on other days. I’m a fan of the baked beans and the fried chicken. They have pretty good sauces and if you get a burger, inside of a whole wheat wrap, I would say it’s the best I’ve had so far. I have an A+ rating over Other restaurants. The food is kosher, and it has CRC supervision. The staff is always polite and friendly, and they usually know their customers by name. I usually see the CTA bus drivers come in on their way home and grab food and they always get treated well. I’ve seen others from the neighborhood drop in and they don’t get treated any differently. The owners always have a big smile on their face when they see me. That counts for a lot and it says a lot. To most places you’re just in order, but to these guys, you’re more than just an order.
