Waldheim Cemetery Co..

Waldheim is an amazing cemetery! Many of my family members are buried here and I will be too someday... Hopefully in the distant future! This weekend they actually help me find a family grave that I've been searching for years to locate. They've been very good at working with me when graves need maintenance, etc.

Years ago my grandfather and his brothers all bought plots at Waldheim. Lately I wanted to make arrangements for certain family members to be buried next to my grandparents and I thought it would be so complicated but Jake Diamond made it a very easy process. As soon as I gave him my grandparents names he found the graves and sent a diagram. We discussed wanting to designate graves rather than transfer them and he sent me the appropriate paperwork which I promptly filled out, notarized and sent back. Done! I gave him the details to contact my relatives and Jake will send them letters of notification that they have a reservation for the future. An emotional task made simple by a very knowledgeable and compassionate staff! It's nice to know that it is all planned out to make sad situations uncomplicated giving everyone concerned peace of mind! Thank you Jake Diamond and Waldheim Cemetery!

I have many family members buried here and when calling to inquire about some of their relatives and familial information (to further broaden my family tree knowledge), I was met with an incredibly friendly voice and found myself on the phone for 45+ minutes enjoying speaking with the extremely helpful person on the line. The quality of interaction with the folks on the phone at Waldheim is simply unmatched and I was helped so greatly. As well, the location for Waldheim has gorgeous sunlight and wildlife throughout the area. When I last visited, I encountered several deer and even wild coyotes! Definitely to be careful when planning to visit and prepare for potential coyote encounters. I never felt unsafe at the cemetery, however, and the peacefulness of the grounds is much appreciated. Most graves are very well taken care of, and if you’re thinking of purchasing a plot here, I 100% recommend it. Getting into the cemetery by car, and even on foot, is a little bit of a confusing experience. But the gates are helpfully labeled on the outside with a road big enough to allow broadside searching for the correct gate while driving through. Alinol, I had a wonderful experience both with the office on the phone and in-person.

Waldheim Cemetery has been excellent. Not only did they handle the burial of our grandparents with the utmost care, but Jake and the office have been extremely helpful with some important documents.

Jake, Tommy and Debbie were all a great help, with both Jake and Tommy taking me to my relatives graves. They enabled a very pleasant and efficient visit, and were very caring, including things like ensuring that I had water on a hot day.

It’s an extremely difficult cemetery to navigate but the office staff (Des Plaines Ave.) were very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. I can only speak highly of them.

Both my Grandparents are buried there I have a spot bought for me

Easier to drive into via the Roosevelt side, the Des Plains side may get you stuck. One of the most compact and beautiful cemeteries to visit. The office is on Harlem, but make sure to visit the other adjoining blocks on Greenberg Rd and 16th.

We are grateful for the time we've been given.

There are some really beautiful graves here, but the cemetery overall could really use some TLC. Many gravestones are knocked over. Grounds do not look well kept. Feel sad for the families of people who have gravesites here that are in ruin.

The office is difficult to work with. They sometimes send erroneous bills. Upkeep of the graves is poor.

My Great Grandparents are buried there and my Great Uncle and Aunt .
