Don't go here for financial aid. I spent about 20 hours on the phone with their team. They took all my information. They didn't bother telling me their criteria until they were done reviewing all my paperwork. Unless you're literally in the red, it's not called struggling in their book. And based on my experience, even if I were in the red, the time it takes isn't worth it. It feels more like a government organization than a functional non profit. They kept me on the phone often way longer than necessary. They repeat themselves etc. It seems that they get paid by the hour, so you're their time filler. I'd say that over 50% of my time with them was unnecessary. The reps don't always get back to you. I sometimes waited a week between calls. The whole process until I got my rejection was about a month.
