The Kosher Pastry Oven is truly a hidden gem in Silver Spring! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warm smell of fresh baked goods and friendly service. Everything feels homemade, fresh, and made with care. Their pastries are absolutely delicious — the chocolate babka is rich and perfectly balanced, the challah is soft and fluffy, and the desserts are beautifully crafted. You can really taste the quality in every bite. I also appreciate that everything is properly kosher with reliable certification, which gives great peace of mind. The staff is kind, patient, and always happy to help, whether you’re ordering for Shabbat, a party, or just treating yourself. The prices are fair for the quality, and the variety is impressive — there’s truly something for everyone. Highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality kosher baked goods in the DMV area. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Orden y limpieza

The food is expensive (especially the baked goods) while also not being that great. If you want to simply add cream cheese to a bagel, the price skyrockets. The only reason to eat at this cafe is convenience. You can find better food from this culture at other cafes. If you order takeout, make sure to check that you were given your correct order. They've accidentally given me somebody else's order a few times. I haven't tried the baked goods because they're so expensive, but the food you can buy on the menu is mid at best. Make sure to check the cafe's holiday schedule if you're visiting in autumn/winter.
Best kosher bakery. Ever. I have lived in Brooklyn and Monsey and Queens and then Silver Spring and this is by far the best bakery I have tasted. My mom asked for gluten free and they have the best gluten free brownies. In truth i have eaten them before and not realized they were gluten free. My mom called it a When Harry Met Sally brownie. That good. Dairy free bakery. The cafe serves dairy and pareve for breakfast or lunch Sunday-Thursday and everything is made to order and delicious. Salads and hot food are always fresh and tasty.
Third time eating here. And it gets better every time. Great service. Delicious food. Great value. If you want to sit down and have a great Kosher meal in a clean place, this is the spot!
The bakery has gone down to the basement. It use to be such a pleasure buying treats for special occasions. This time the pecan tart was more of a cheap pie no more shortbread crust. The strawberry sponge was mainly whipped cream with hardly and cake or strawberries. The chocolate dipped triangle cookie were stale and tasteless. Such a shame .
We had the fried donuts, and they were excellent! I had the one stuffed with raspberry and my wife had the one with custard. We highly recommend this place!
The paninis are really good.
Rude folks and stale pastries
$8 minimum for card purchases. What year is this? I went in just for coffee and left with nothing. Pastry display looked empty so I would’ve had to buy four coffees.
doesnt look like kosher pasty to me/us pastry
very good pastry
Got breakfast here with my family while we were visiting Silver Spring for Sukkot. The restaurant provided a sizable sukkah, which was very clean. Their bakery display was not well stocked. We ordered the shakshouka which was small for the price. It's in a very convenient location, and the ambiance is nice. 2025 update: low quality, poor service.
