Our son attended this daycare from the age of 15 months until he turned 3, and we had a wonderful experience. We truly appreciated the caring teachers, the intimate and nurturing environment, and the meaningful Jewish values and traditions that were part of his daily experience. We are grateful for the love, attention, and strong foundation he received during these important early years.

We feel so grateful that our child attends Jewish Creative Preschool. The teachers are incredibly nurturing, gentle, and compassionate—they truly see and care for each child. The Reggio Emilia approach shines through in everything they do, fostering creativity, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning in our son. Our son transitioned so easily and is genuinely happy to go to school each morning. He's even complained on days when there's no school because he misses his friends! That tells us everything we need to know about how special JCP is. The family events celebrating holidays are truly special—they create a wonderful sense of community and deepen the connection between parents and teachers. JCP has been such a wonderful place for our family, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.
The teachers at this preschool are truly phenomenal—attentive, caring, and deeply invested in each child. From the start, we never felt like “just another family.” Instead, it felt like an extended community that genuinely helped nurture our child to be kind, thoughtful, and confident. We also loved the use of the brightwheel app. Each day, the teachers would post photos and a quick update on what the kids learned, which made us feel connected even when we weren’t there. It became such a special part of our routine—something our family looked forward to looking at together before dinnertime. We also really appreciated the meaningful emphasis on Jewish holidays. It brought families together in such a warm, joyful way, and it was incredibly sweet to hear our child come home singing beautiful Jewish songs. And the summer program was hands-down the best—every day brought something new, with fun activities and weekly visitors that kept the kids engaged and excited.
Our daughter went to JCP from about 2.5 years old to 3.5 years old and absolutely LOVED it. The Reggio Emilia philosophy was the perfect fit for her, and the small student to teacher ratio was incredible. We especially loved how JCP fosters independence and “life skills” like cooking, taking care of plants, etc. and appreciated how much time they spent outdoors. We are so grateful our daughter already has a love for Judaism - she loves baking challah every Friday for Shabbat. We left JCP because we moved to another town and will miss it dearly! Highly recommend.
We took our daughter here for a month this summer while we were visiting Boston. It was her first day care/camp/preschool experience and she had some separation anxiety, but the staff and all the other kids were incredibly sweet and warm with her (and us!) and she had a lovely time there. Being around other kids, participating in a range of fun activities, even for just that month, did wonders for her social development and burgeoning independence. And she loved bringing home a little challah every Friday for Shabbat!
Our daughter attended JCP for two years, and we had a wonderful experience. This is such a loving and caring environment where she thrived: she grew emotionally, developed confidence and independence, and formed strong relationships with her caregivers and friends. There is a genuine sense of community with many family events, and the curriculum is broad and engaging, allowing children to learn many things and skills. Itty, the director, does a fantastic job of organizing everything and assembling such an amazing team. The facilities are great too: there is a lot of indoor space and a private backyard, where children play outside several times a day and can enjoy any kind of weather. We also loved the summer camp option, as well as the app, through which we were getting daily photos and updates about what our daughter was doing and learning.
For the past four years, my daughter has had the privilege of attending Jewish Creative Preschool, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for this incredible experience. The small class sizes and professional, attentive staff have been a cornerstone of her growth and happiness. Each child is treated as if they are the only one in the room, receiving personalized attention and care that is truly unmatched. The environment is both nurturing and empowering, fostering confidence and a sense of independence in every child. The daycare’s incorporation of the Reggio-Emilia and Montessori approaches has been phenomenal. It’s amazing to see how these philosophies have helped my daughter build confidence, strength, and a love for learning. Pair that with a beautiful Jewish spirit that weaves through the curriculum, and you have a truly special place for children to thrive. One of the things I cherish most is how my daughter goes to daycare each morning with a huge smile and returns home even happier (and often delightfully tired from a full day of fun and learning). The community focus is another standout feature, with thoughtful events throughout the year that bring families together in a fun and meaningful way. I couldn’t have asked for a better environment for my daughter’s early years, and I wholeheartedly recommend Jewish Creative Preschool to anyone looking for a place where their child can truly flourish.
Our son was at this preschool for almost two years. He loved the school, his friends and the teachers. There is a thought behind everything they do at JCP. They are very creative and do a lot of creative activities. The group is small and they give personal attention to each child. Also, we loved taking part in the holidays parties they organized at the synagogue for the community. They do the best parties. We are very happy that we had the chance to be a part of JCP.
In my 30 plus years, this was by far my best teaching experience. I felt so supported and the professional development was always thoughtful and fun. Wonderful families as well. This is a incredible community and I would highly recommend this environment for anyone seeking a new and enlightening teaching experience!
One of the best Preschools in Newton. Everything about the preschool is top notch. The staff, the outdoor space and most importantly- the warm approach of the Director and the teachers it what makes this place amazing.
Such a caring, loving school that focuses on developing independent thought and curiosity in children. The teachers are wonderful and the space is fantastic!
I have 2 children in this school. They have drastically different personalities and both have benefited tremendously from attending JCP. My children run into school in the morning. The teachers are loving, empathetic, supportive, creative and incredible educators. Through the Reggio approach my kids have developed a strong appreciation for nature and spend many hours outside doing enriching activities during the school day. I love that they provide a healthy snack, since my kids are unwilling to try new fruits and vegetables at home, but are happy to do so with their friends. I get updates on the brightwheel app about what they ate and how they are doing at school. I especially love the pictures which I download and send to my grandmother. I wish every school was like JCP.
We feel so lucky to have found JCP. The curricular methodology is unlike anything I could have hoped for. My son's confidence and imagination both blossomed in short order after enrolling. He used to cry when we left for his old school and now RUNS into his classroom. His teachers are unparalleled. There is no question in my mind that I will send all of my children to JCP.
We really love this pre-school for so many reasons: the classes are small and the teachers are extremely carrying, loving, and devoted. The kids spend lots of time outdoors, which is important to us. My son can't wait to go every morning, and enters the classroom with so much excitement and happiness, that it's contagious! Also his language and development just blossomed during the time at JCP. I really can't say enough good things about it!
I am so happy we decided to send my daughter to Jewish Creative Preschool. When we were looking for a school it felt a little overwhelming because it's a big decision but I can't say enough about JCP. Each day my daughter is dropped off she goes right to the sensory table (sand, different themes based on the week or holidays, shapes, colors, etc.) She gets so excited about school and has no problem with me leaving because she is so comfortable with her teachers and the environment. The first few weeks were a transition but I would get hourly updates and pictures through an app called Brighwheel and still do. The director, Itty Prus, is amazing and always available by phone or text and responds quickly. My daughter has learned so much. It really feels more like a school rather than a daycare and they change the curriculum frequently. They are open to all levels of Judaism and do an excellent job of incorporating Judaism into each day's activities. They also work with you and recognized that each child's needs and learning style is different. I am so thankful we found JCP!

My daughter has been having the most amazing experience at this preschool. She always is able to receive individualized attention and wakes up every morning excited to go to school! The teaching staff are warm and caring and put a tremendous amount of effort into the curriculum that they design. there is great communication between the parents and the school through daily updates and lots of pictures, I feel like I am there with her!
