Nelly Nabokin★★★★★5 days ago

On behalf of my family, I want to express our deep gratitude to The Hebrew Rehabilitation Center staff for the exceptional care of Boris Nabokin which he received while residing on unit 2 Berenson West. All the staff on this unit was very professional, caring, and accommodating to his needs. Especially, we’d like to acknowledge the following nursing staff Nadejda Lurii (charge nurse), Alexander Kamenetsky, Lyudmila Birbrayer (nurses), and Rodica Bet (nurses aid) who shown exceptional kindness, patience, and comfort to him and our family during a difficult time. Knowing that he was safe and valued in your hands brought our family immense peace of mind. We are forever thankful for your dedication.

My father was sent here from the hospital. They told me I can fill out his paperwork as he is not able to and I am not legally responsible for payment. Now I am receiving a bill under my name for his care. He receives SSDI where they should be getting paid from but yet I am still getting a bill every month!? where is his money going ? When I call no answer. I leave voicemails no one calls back. I also email and no answer. It’s been 5 months now and have a bill of thousands of dollars under my name. Only gave 2 stars for the dialysis team they are great, attentive, caring, compassionate especially Hannah.

Around 12:30am on 3/27/26 I was making a delivery to this place, I called the hospital to reach out security, there was two security officers and both refused to leave their chair to open the receiving door to let me in, they were too lazy and made me come through the main entrance go in the hospital and open the door myself. I believe after hours it is the security job to send someone to open the receiving door for the delivery drivers, this is unacceptable.

Response from the organization

4 months ago Cesar, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for any confusion or frustration during your visit. For after-hours deliveries, drivers are asked to use the B1 entrance so our security team can assist and maintain proper access procedures. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

It’s true that the employees make the place shine! I had a good experience with staff member Debra Friday on the 2nd flr. She was friendly and welcoming. Debra smiled while looking up the patient’s name, then gave me the info I needed. She was helpful and shined with niceness! Thanks Debra 🙂 - you’re AWESOME! …

A friend of mine is there. He is a gentle, kind, low maintenance man who never complains - that is, until he became a resident here. If he is making critical comments, I know it must be very bad. The CNA is rough and abusive. His legal rights are routinely violated (for instance, his right to go to bed when he wants to - he is forced to lie in bed for 12 hours a day, which causes his bed sores to grow worse). They lied to him before he agreed to become a resident, promising physical therapy, which he almost never receives. He has been there over a month and has yet to be seen by a doctor. The food is so bad he can barely eat it, and he would have starved to death by now if we didn't have outside food delivered to him. This place is a hellscape that provides little to no care and has made my friend wish for death as an escape. Update: They have not managed to kill my friend yet, but the level of neglect and abuse is is consistently nightmarish. The cna is rough and has injured him. They ignore him when he speaks, they snatch his food away and throw it in the garbage, they ignore all of his requests to go to the bathroom, and when they do bring him to the toilet, they will leave him hanging there for hours while he yells for help. When I complained about him being injured, they denied it and retaliated by treating him even worse. There is no point in complaining to the staff, as it will only cause them to increase the neglect and abuse.

If you care anything for your relatives "Do Not" place them in the Hebrew Rehab facility. Relative's personal clothing we shipped to her... gone, her jewelry... disappeared. TV and two phones... gone. When our auntie passed, we were told to come and retrieve her belongings. After getting back to hotel, we oped boxes to worn and filthy clothing belongings to both male and female residents. The very nice clothing mailed to her over the year are gone! Staff very defensive when asked about our aunt's belongings.
