The administration at jslmi is deficient, unprofessional and poor communicators. I have tried to no avail. Go elsewhere. Make your donations elsewhere

Until recently, my mother lived at Jewish Senior Life's Meer Apartments for over 6 years. It was independent living at its best! The facility was very comfortable and nice, as was her apartment. There were always lots of great activities for her to participate in, and terrific staff and residents. The staff made her, and our family, feel like family. And coming from out of town to visit her was a joy! I will always be grateful to the Meer staff and Jewish Senior Life for all that they did to make this a wonderful and special place for my mom to live!

Fleischman was a wonderful home to my Father. He was treated with love and respect. The staff truly cared and took an interest in him. I know that you aren't supposed to say this, but he loved the food! He appreciated all of the activities, and that there was "hamish" feeling to the Residence. He made friends with the residents and the staff. It was a wonderful community.

Fleischman Residence has a great and caring staff and it really feels like home. There are so many engaging activities for the residents. Jill Bengle and the rest of the staff are so welcoming. Great place!

My mom has been living at JSL for over 15 years and as she puts it "this is the best place ever-they treat us like kings and queens". They are always making changes to help their tenants. The improvements they make there enforce our decision to have her there as well as all of the activates they offer. Bingo, Poker games and just getting together with her friends ( and making new ones too) are just some of the reasons she enjoys living there. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a place for their loved one to live check them out.

Social worker is condescending and rude. My MIL was inappropriately placed in memory care, which was a fancy name for a nursing home where no one accepted responsibility for the lack of care or compassion. Moved my MIL out and she is content and well cared for at a real assisted living center, It was so bad at Fleischman that we moved my MIL to the Holiday Inn Express just to get her out asap (our family couldn’t take her because she cannot handle stairs), and no exaggeration - the front desk folks at the Holiday Inn watched out for her and took better care of her than Fleischman did.

I found Jewish Senior Life very disorganized and lacking in many respects. The staff were horrible making many mistakes with medication. Administration is a mess and untrustworthy. On the first day I experienced two Senior members completely contradict themselves on policy and totally confuse my parents and myself. Staff were very inexperienced and rude. The food was awful. One menu choice for everyone, they said that was ‘due to Covid’. There were problems with insects as well. Interestingly when we moved my Mother to a new facility that was also less expensive and in much better condition the residents were given menu choices and ate on real dishes etc. I love everyone that works at her new assisted living. I can see such a difference in the people that work there and how she is treated and how they interact with her. It is not an easy transition to move into an assisted living especially right now in these Covid times. Do not put your parent in Jewish Senior Life if you can avoid it. There are so many better places in the area.

This is not a place you want to bring your family. They have a team of lying, untrustworthy, money hungry and incompetent people working there. They use and abuse their Nurses, Aids and Med passers. Residents are always falling and getting hurt, one even died recently from a fall. Policy aren't followed. The staffing is very poor and the overturn is ridiculous. On a day to day basis the direct care staff in the building are from an outside staffing agency and that's due to management not being able to keep staff. They get rid of all the good people who really care, and treat the ones who are still there like dirt. Also they have a huge on going problem with bed bugs. The new DON name is Angel, she has a horrible attitude ,she is lazy and unprofessional. This is just the tip of the iceberg, i could go on and on. If you care about your family, dont being them here. Mark my words, you'll regret it!

New management is really making some great changes, from cleaning up the building to modernizing systems. 24 hour nursing. Lots of new friendly staff. More activities then any community I have seen. I like how they honor the volunteers that help make this place great.

The Pop Up dinner at Marvin's Bistro was wonderful tonight

Last night we attended our third pop up dinner in Marvin's bistro. It was amazing and delicious! Kudos to the staff who organized and prepared this. We have also ordered carry outs from Marvins. Their soups are delicious. You should try it too.
