Jewish family service is such an impressive and wonderful and helpful organization. I interact mostly with Donald, who is in charge of the Home deliveries Which are so helpful to me since I have multiple sclerosis And I rarely leave My apartment because If my energy level suddenly decreases, I am at risk of falling. Donald is so professional and kind and As flexible As he can be. I also give appreciation and thanks to all of the delivery drivers and all of those who pack the food for delivery as well as anyone else involved in home delivery. I have never been to the pantry, but I want to thank them as well for all of the good work they do and anybody involved in the administrative side as well. Without All of You, None of the services would be possible. I am so so so grateful for this organization and their food delivery helps me So so so much. There is such a diversity of food, including fruits and vegetables And protein items, and meat And some canned goods and surprises like sweets Prepared foods like sandwiches and other items. Most of the items are healthy and I always love that It’s going to be a surprise every time I receive a delivery. It’s always something different And always wonderful. Thank you so much Donald and everyone I’m so grateful and again it helps me so much. Numbers 6:24-26 May the Lord Bless You and Keep You The Lord Make His Face Shine Upon You and Be Gracious to You The Lord Lift His Countenance Upon You and Give You Peace May God Bless Anyone Who Reads This✡️ ❤️✌️🤗🙏 Warmly, Lech l’Shalom, Michael H.

My life saver! Without them I would be sick. As a senior I struggled to retrieve or to buy groceries. For years, they've helped me when I was in dire need. I was sad when they had to move from where they were before at the Renaissance Center, it was closer to me. Now they've opened up their new center, and they have pop-up Van pantries around the city and senior deliveries. I am so grateful for All they do. They're also kind and considerate and patient. Thank you a 1000 times:) 🫶

I posted a review two months ago thanking JFS FOR helping my partner and I and I truly meant it when I said it. But just FYI for anyone who enters their program as a couple and your signing all of that paperwork make sure that you don't become a victim of domestic violence because you and your abuser will both be kicked out of the program !! Even though I pressed charges but couldn't provide a police report because my abuser took my paperwork when I returned to get some clothes it's really hard obtaining a police report when you loose the paperwork the police provide you with. And even though your case worker could have just gotten the police report easier than the victim but because I couldn't get the police report quick enough two days after the incident they kicked me out of the program !! Leaving me homeless again!! At no fault of my own I even was able to atleast provide them with my hospital records showing i was treated for domestic violence injuries two days after the incident they informed me I was already kicked out the program!! Like who punishes the victim like that i was completing all of my required goals and complying with all the rules they made so many promises to me and never followed through on the things that really mattered ! So my opinion about this program is mixed just don't enter the program as a couple is my best advice

I genuinely wish I could give JFSA Las Vegas a positive review. I really do. Unfortunately, I can’t actually review their services, because despite calling at least ten times and leaving messages with both humans and voicemail machines, I have never once received a call back. As a result, my experience has never made it past reception. I have no idea how effective their programs are, how responsive their staff might be, or how well they support the community because I’ve never been given the chance to find out. That said, I can confidently report one thing: they appear to have exceptionally strong gatekeeping. If that’s the service being evaluated, they’re doing a stellar job. I hope this is an anomaly, because I would much rather be writing a review about the help they provide for the Jewish residents of Las Vegas than about unanswered phone calls.

It truly breaks my heart to say this, but please don’t waste your time reaching out to this program for rental assistance right now. They simply don’t have the funds to help those who are struggling the most. I spoke with a woman named Andrea who was kind, but after several questions, she told me they couldn’t help. It was painful and discouraging to open up about my situation only to be told there’s nothing they can do. It feels like so many programs are lost right now because of the government shutdown, and people who truly need help are being left behind. My heart goes out to everyone going through this. May God have mercy on all of us.

I have been reaching out to them for 3 months now. I broke my foot at the beginning of the year and had to be off work because I work with small children. I explained this to them, and every month they have no funding. I would reach out at the end of one month in hopes that I could receive any help for the next nothing. A friend of mine called last week they told her they could put her name on a wait list and if she got an eviction notice to call back and update them. I was NEVER given this information she will be out of work due to a minor surgery and someone offered a solution but I got nothing month after month.

I’m posting this as an ex client the director can be very rude and disrespectful how she talks to people she got upset for me not wanting to work with DWSS for past bad experiences I’ve had with and decided to pull the funding to move me and my children here’s chats between myself and caseworker Viki Allen as proof

I'm Jewish and for several months now been homeless due to COVd I requested assistance months ago and the answer is always the same...we are out of funding . When I requested assistance yet jfs is fully staffed and the parking lot full of fancy cars....my question is...if you're out of funding how is it that you have funds to employ everyone cozy warm offices what exactly are they doing to earn their pay... You have money to pay people doing nothing for months and rude about it.

What a great place. It like a home away from home.

Tired to get a little advice from a supervisor today, explained the situation the individual who needs help is in, and Anon told me he wouldn't allow me to speak to anyone who could keep the individual's name and information confidential. There is no way to provide anonymous help to protect an elderly person who desperately needs it, due to a family member who is committing fraud through JFSA. Had no desire to simply put me on hold an inquire about a special circumstance. To me, Anon is just as bad as the person stealing from this elderly man. You have the power and ability to stop the abuse, but you are protecting your coworker instead.
