Rabbi Sholom Lubin and family surrounded and embraced my family with love and compassion during a very dark time - and doing so with very short notice. He did everything right. He was appropriate. Concise. Eloquent. Compassionate. Relatable. He was exactly what we needed. My mother would’ve liked him and I’m glad and grateful he was there to help escort her. I repeat: you were exactly the right man for one of the most difficult mission on this planet. Your presence, demeanor and countenance were comforting in profound ways as were your words. And they were words about a person you never even met…and all this happening during chol hamoed Sukkot! My dear Rabbi, that’s one heck of a gift you have. May that gift flourish & grow, bring comfort & peace to many families and parnassa & blessings to your own. Lacking any other words, please accept these: Thank you. Thank you, always. As a sidenote : you’ve weighed heavily on my heart since that day, so much grief mixed with guilt. Guilt because I know you’re supporting a family and that’s a challenge that very few are capable of meeting.
