Here for physical therapy. They offer aquatic therapy. They have a large pool. They even have a treadmill in the water. The therapists I've worked with have all been excellent. They help and support you and push you just enough.
Coming to the Jewish Home was a new experience for me.i was hesitant at first. However once i met the staff i knew i was in good hands. The building and social areas are clean and cheerful. However the the most important aspect of that Jewish Home is the staff. Everyone who interacts with the patients is “Very Special”. The care, warmth and professionalism beyond exception. I must mention just a few of these Special People. Marva Lawrence is more than am aide. She truly cares about her patients and knows how to make each person feel special. In physical and occupational therapy it is a “family affair”. The attention and individual therapy certainly made it possible for me to leave walking on my own. The whole staff made this possible. I must extend special thanks to Mario, Joanne, Stephine and everyone else in the department whose names escape me at the moment. I could not have made the progress I did without the support of everyone. With much Love and Appreciation, Gretta Berman
This Home is clean all people involved are caring and understanding. Terrific place.
My wife was at rehab part of the Jewish Home for for more than 9.5’months. Before that she was in Englewood Hospital for 6 weeks and they gave us very little hope of surviving. She’s now home at 11 long grueling months but the Jewish Home is to thank for that. The care and attention she received was incredible and there are so many individuals to thank. Her therapist’s Sttephania, Beena & Shannon including Ilana & Tara who worked so closely with her and me. Her nurses including the scheduling nurses who worked so closely with me. Mostly her aides Marva and Guimathe. I am forever indebted especially Marva Lawrence. She was our guardian angel who not only watched over my wife but helped all my family under this ordeal. She helped keep our sanity through all this. There are no words to express how thankful we are to her and all the the group
The Jewish Home at Rockleigh provided exceptional care, especially from my dedicated aide, Marva Lawrence. She consistently prioritized safety, maintained my personal cleanliness, and ensured my comfort… Her actions went beyond basic caregiving duties, creating moments of joy and fostering a connection between us, which is integral to the art of compassionate care.
A lot of you know me because I’ve been coming here for a lot of years. I haven’t been here in five years and I must say your new building is beautiful. But I have to tell you, though everybody here was very kind to me, there was a very special person who went well above board to help me and make me feel that she really cared about me. Her name is Marva Lawrence E. And all the years I’m coming here she has been the most wonderful person to work with and showed much care and love to not just me but my whole family. If you had 100 more Marva’s, You would have the most wonderful staff Hearing your beautiful new building. I love my people that I had before, but she somebody very special. She doesn’t just care about me. She cares about all her patience. I’ve seen her and I’ve heard her speak to them. She knows what she’s doing And God willing, not that I want to, but if I ever have to come back, I definitely want her to be the one taking care of me. As always, my stay here was mostly enjoyable and I plan on coming back for outpatient therapy as soon as I’m allowed to. So good luck, Rockleigh and all of their staff, All my love, ilene Kantor-Levine.
So far so good 😊 …
Marva Lawrence consistently upholds the fine traditions of care that the Jewish Home provides.
My mother has been receiving care at the highly regarded Jewish Home at Rockleigh in Rockleigh, New Jersey. The facility itself is exceptional -beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with outstanding amenities to support residents through every stage of rehabilitation. The clinical staff, therapists, and administrators run the operation with professionalism and compassion. Yet even in a place that is run so well, there is always someone whose light shines just a little brighter - someone who makes the experience not just successful, but truly meaningful. For our family, that person is Marva Lawrence. From the very beginning, Marva brought a warmth and positivity into my mother’s room that was impossible to miss. Her wonderful disposition, gentle humor, and steady kindness put an immediate smile on my mom’s face every single time she walked through the door. And when you are in a rehabilitation setting — where progress can be physically and emotionally demanding — that smile matters more than words can express. Marva’s care goes beyond routine responsibilities. She treats her patients with dignity and genuine affection. She listens. She encourages. She reassures. She understands that healing is not just physical — it is emotional and psychological as well. My mother felt seen, respected, and cared for — not simply as a patient, but as a person. Her attentiveness, patience, and natural compassion contributed in no small way to my mother’s successful progress. Marva creates an atmosphere of comfort and optimism that helps patients feel safe and motivated. That kind of presence cannot be trained — it comes from the heart. Our family is deeply grateful for the role she played in my mother’s recovery. Marva Lawrence is not just an excellent aide — she is a remarkable human being who elevates the entire standard of care around her. The Jewish Home at Rockleigh is fortunate to have her. And so were we.
BEYOND EXCELLENCE

Unfortunately , I have needed rehab. This is my first time at Rockleigh and they are the “Gold Standard.” The PT is excellent their main concern is getting you well . Throw in the excellent food, friendly staff and that’s part of what has made my experience so positive.
1 helpful voteMarva Lawrence. When we speak about integrity dedication and excellence Marva Lawrence surely comes to mind. She takes her job seriously and treats her patients with compassion Not only their bodies but their minds. I am a social worker and Marva treats her clients as if they were her own family. When she arrives in a room there is always a smile and a hello. When she leaves there room at night there is always a good night. She respects their privacy and always gives excellent care. There needs to Be more Marva’s taking care of the sick and more Marva’s in this profession 5 stars for her and plus
