The therapist wasn't the worst, but certainly not the best and I would not go back. Because I gave one small comment about having suicidal ideations without a plan in the past, I remember her sending me to the hospital and making me waste four hours of my time there. I get that she wants to do everything by the book because that's just how she is, but I don't think that's supposed to be done unless someone clearly is in danger. Also, she claimed that she "legally had to report" something (I think it was when we made a comment about my parents spanking me?). This is why I no longer trust therapists. Was I in danger? Did I have visible evidence of being abused? Then what was the problem?!

Thank you to Laurie and Jen for all of your help on both coasts dealing with the same issue — my arm. I am confident you will help me obtain my medical records from California and expedite the rotator cuff surgery I have needed for two years.

There was a great personal tragedy in my life a couple of years ago that affected me, and I was not sure what to do or where to turn to. My mother recommended JFCS after having a good experience with a mental health issue years before, and I entered therapy with one of the professionals at the services. It was a lifesaver. I was able little by little to find my way through grief and manage things (as far as I can). I don't think I would be able to even type these words if not for the good people at JFCS. Thank you! (Special mention to Laurie who worked with me over the years)

Very poor service. If you are not jew, you are treated with a cold shoulder. I am so disappointed! I waited a long time for them to call me back and when they called me I was told they only vive cans of food. My friend who is Jewish, was given great food including vegetables. Very discriminatory as if the Jewish community never suffered discrimination. They forgot ..

It's very good, and the service is too.

This food pantry is not readily available to all ethnicities in need of help, especially AA. It’s absolutely shameful to only cater to the needs of people whom look like them.

I had an incredibly positive experience with JFCS of Northern NJ, particularly with their Careers Programs. Sandra was instrumental in my job search journey. I’ve enjoyed volunteering for JFCS for three years, delivering Kosher meals to grateful clients who might otherwise be experiencing food insecurity. JFCS has a dedicated and compassionate core of staff and volunteers ready to help the community, not just with food insecurity, but with mental health services, older adult services, afterschool programs and more.
