Life-changing place. My 6 summers at the Gulch made me more resilient and ecologically aware & left me with a lasting appreciation for the people and places of the Southwest.

Best possible camp to send kids to, outdoor experiences at their best. I attended as a camper in the mid-60's, generation # 2 of now 4 generations in our family. Highly recommend it to all.

Beautiful location, friendly and inviting atmosphere. Absolutely loved going there as a child and as an adult. The staff are always so inviting and helpful. Definitely one of my favorite places, feels like my home away from home.

Great organization! Our family has been sending kids to the Gulch ever since my Mom went on the first girls trek in 1934!

Honestly one of the best experiences of my life, the adventures are fun, the kids are great, food is amazing, welcoming staff, welcoming space, it is 1000% better than any normal summer camp inside NM. (Oh and it’s LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️‍🌈, and accepting of all religions!) And transportation to to the gulch is easy and covered too, last time I went we met at the sunport so very convenient for the people in the ABQ area! The cabins are separated and the staff make you feel safe and accepted, trust me. Sometimes you need to unplug from your devices and backpack and just explore the beauty of our state. Love the gulch for me 10/10 would go again! 💖

The Prairie Trek shaped my life.... everything I know now I learned then. The sense of exploration, ceaseless exploration Thanks. Long live the Grey Ghost! (the truck with bus seats we trekked in)

Attended little outfit back in 1970 and it changed my life . I developed a love for the American Southwest and native Indian cultures. We discovered an indian burial at an archeological dig( since reinterred) and I found a counterfeit Silver dollar lead slug outside a collapsed cabin near an old Floride mine, I believe. I met kids from all over the world and traveled around in old army 1 tons looking for treasures and camping. Swimming in a volcanic crater and visiting Canyon after Canyon and many Indian Ruins.
