The staff are professional, attentive and responsive to individuals needs. The facilities are very clean and sanitized. Valuable Resources are provided for residents and family members
Response from the organizationa week ago Thank you so much for this thoughtful review, Barb and Steve. We are glad you have had positive experiences with our staff and received important resources that you needed.
Our family recently entrusted Memphis Jewish Home with my dad’s care for a little over a month, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the moment we walked in, we noticed how exceptionally clean the facility is, and every staff member we encountered was welcoming, compassionate, and genuinely cared about the residents. While everyone played an important role in my dad’s recovery and well-being, there are a few individuals who deserve special recognition. Andrew and Isaac, the physical therapists, provided care that exceeded every expectation. My dad has additional health challenges, and they consistently treated him with incredible patience, kindness, and encouragement. They never made him feel rushed and always took the time to meet him where he was. Their dedication gave our family confidence that he was receiving the very best care. I also want to recognize Cynthia and Stephanie. Like many families, my mom and I struggled with leaving my dad each evening. Knowing these two ladies were caring for him brought us tremendous peace of mind. Their compassion, attentiveness, and genuine concern for his comfort meant more to our family than words can express. To everyone at Memphis Jewish Home, thank you for the work you do each and every day. Caring for others takes a special kind of person, and your team made a difficult season much easier for our family. We are truly thankful for the love, professionalism, and exceptional care you showed my dad, Mr. Joe.

My Sister in law was there for some therapy from a nasty fall that broke her ankle and she now has a lot of new hardware in that ñleg. Things stated out very good with her. Then about half way there things started changing for the worse for her. The sides were very rough with her and rude. There wasn't a set time for anything.. Some days they were they to help her out if bed early and other days it could be 8 to 8:30 before they helped her. Therapy got to be so bad for her they didn't have a set time on when they would get her or send an aide to get her. Only to be asked what are we going to do with you today. I had to put in 4 appeals to get her to stay longer to get some help. The last 2 appeals I put in for her she got 2 extra days. We were advices not to take her home because she was not ready to go home. She got home and in less than 72 hours she fell. The next day she fell the 3rd day she was so weak she couldn't even stand up. She is now in another Rehab Skilled nursing facility to try to get the help she needs. They really love their building. It is very nice clean and very fancy looking but the help she got was not the service of quality that she should have received by the way they talked and how they presented themselves. They got a 2 rank because there were a few things they did right. Now we are trying to get her records that we were told that was left at the desk for us the day after she left there. There were no records left. I was told they had them ready and would mail them to me. I received the order form for the request for the records. Now we have been told it could take 30 days to receive them. I thought they were ready for pick up but just got out in the wrong place. Well I wonder how long it is going to take them to change the orders up from the original ones? I would not take recommend anyone to put their love one there. I am totally disappointed at how it all turned out. Memphis Jewish Home and Rehab you owe my sister in law an apology for his she was treated and figure out a way to give her the days she used up for nothing. Now we have a short amount of time to get her ready to go home to live alone as you were told from the beginning. She should be doing fantastic but 3 falls with in 72 hours after release from your care for the amount of time she was there. Is unacceptable.
1 helpful voteResponse from the organizationa month ago Hi Debbie, we apologize for the delay in our response and thank you for taking the time to offer us feedback. We have tried to reach out regarding care from our aides so that we can investigate your claim. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate care and address these concerns promptly. We have not heard back, but please contact us if you’d like to move forward. Regarding the appeals process, we unfortunately have no control over when insurance cuts patients. Our team works exceedingly hard to submit appeals but the decisions are out of our control. Our social workers offer resources for discharge planning to the best of their ability in these cases as well. We wish your sister in law a speedy recovery.
Very nice place but it looks very expensive, nice people too

The staff at Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab were incredible during my loved one's first stay, treating them with immense compassion and dignity. However, we were deeply disappointed when they refused to readmit him for a second stay. Even after the hospital and our family reached out multiple times for an explanation, they refused to provide one, which is unacceptable." I left my number phone number several times for them to call me with no return.
1 helpful voteResponse from the organization6 months ago Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, JD. We are glad th standard of care provided during the first stay was incredible. To clarify, we have reached out to the patient’s responsible party and the hospital regarding our inability to readmit. An explanation was provided.
Memphis Jewish Home is truly exceptional. The staff are compassionate, attentive, and treat every resident with dignity and warmth. The facility itself is clean and welcoming. The level of care is outstanding. We are so grateful for the peace of mind knowing my father-in-law is in such wonderful hands.

The Memphis Jewish Home is an awesome facility. They make sure the residents are the number one priority. They have an awesome therapy department. They have 3 social workers that are phenomenal. The facility has an Adult Day program that helps alleviate stress and anxiety from family members who have to work during the day. The facility has an amazing Admissions team that is sufficient at getting the patients in expeditiously. The LTC residents go on outings and they participate in several activities daily within the facility. The facility even has a therapy dog that is friendly and very welcoming. I have had 3 family members to visit the home and they’ve had nothing but great/positive experiences.

Memphis Jewish Home was instrumental in mom’s recovery. Her nurses, CNA’s and therapist all made her healing possible. Recommend for your loved one that needs therapy and healing. Thank you.
Response from the organizationa year ago Thank you so much for your review, Jaqueline. We are honored to have cared for your mom and hope for her continued recovery.
Our experience here was a nightmare, & other than a few compassionate caregivers, my Mother received insufficient care most of the time. Many of the staff were rude & abrasive, especially Nurse Jackie. Ronda, a CNA, shoved my Mother around …

I wish my family would've read these reviews before placing my mother here post cardiac surgery. She was treated horribly by nursing staff and upper level administration was equally rude, uncaring, and incompetent.
1 helpful voteResponse from the organizationa year ago Michael, thank you for taking the time to offer feedback and we apologize that you did not have a positive experience with our organization. We take patient and family satisfaction very seriously and attempt to respond to any reports in a timely manner. We will attempt to reach out to you to address these concerns and follow up with any staff that cared for your mom. Our staff culture is one of compassion and professionalism, we would never want to compromise that.
We did not have a good experience at the Jewish home My husband told them he was going to black out and they didn't listen. They also tried to withhold pain meds that his doctor said he needed. Now they are saying they can't meet his clinical needs. For shame . Idk where he will go now.
1 helpful voteResponse from the organizationa year ago Erin, thank you for taking the time to offer feedback. We are sorry that your experience was less than expected, and our administration will be reaching out soon to discuss details and work to alleviate your concerns. We give patients pain medication on a schedule and would not withhold medication from a patient, but due to regulations, we cannot exceed certain limits. We care deeply about our patients and their family concerns.
