Museum of Biblical Art National Center for Jewish Art Museum of Holocaust Art - 3 Museums in 1 Location!.

Unfortunately, I was not a fan of this museum at all. I'm surprised it's still operating and has so many positive reviews. I purchased a Groupon thinking it would be a great museum to take my boys to see biblical art and I found the name of the museum to be misleading. The first main hallway had like 100 hand drawn pictures representing portions of Dante's Inferno I believe and the art was so terrible. It was as if a non-artistic 4 year old kid drew them. It seemed like every terrible drawing had breasts, butts, or penises and balls that were strangely drawn - a bit too much for my boys. There was a room with these small European porcelain pieces and nearly every one of them the women had one breast showing and I couldn't figure out why. It definitely wasn't biblical art scenes. There were a few creepy sculptures of Jesus, Adam, and Eve that were proportionately all wrong and looked more like aliens than people. I get that's it's someone's interpretation but they were strange looking and poor "art" in my opinion. There was one room that actually had what I would consider biblical art, mainly interpretations of different stories with Jesus that were nicely done, that was the best room that aligned with the museums name. The artist that used geometric shapes in his pieces was by far the best artist they had in this museum. There were two additional rooms with "artistic" oddities that I didn't understand and didn't seem to have any biblical semblance then a room with a variety of sculptures of biblical characters like David, the Four Horsemen, and Jesus. There was one more room with a bunch of terrible drawings as well that were supposed to represent biblical stories and characters. After concluding our visit as we were leaving a gentleman quickly rushed over to us, not to thank us for coming but to ask us to make sure we leave the audio tour equipment before we left. Well we didn't have any audio tour equipment and I'm not sure why he rushed to that conclusion and thought we would have a desire to take something like that home. I didn't hear him say that to the other guests in the lobby so it seems he made a poor targeted assumption and I'd hate to think it was based upon our brown skin, which would be really disappointing. Lastly, outside there is a poorly manicured overgrown garden with lots of terrible looking bronze sculptures representing different parts of Jesus's crucifixion. Again it was all a bit creepy looking to me and poorly done. All in all, we did not enjoy this museum or it's "art" and while it had some biblical art depictions, we found the art unimpressive, poorly done, weird, and creepy.. and this is coming from someone that is artistic and has been to lots of art museums with different genres and styles of art across multiple states throughout my life.

The Museum of Biblical Art surprised me in the best way. It’s not just a place for believers—it’s a place for anyone who loves history, culture or art. Every gallery feels intentional, pulling you into the world behind the Bible: the archaeology, the ancient craftsmanship, the storytelling, the way faith shaped civilizations and its fight for survival. Even if someone isn’t religious, the historical depth alone is worth the visit. You walk away with a deeper appreciation for how much the Bible has influenced art, politics, architecture and human expression across thousands of years. It’s beautiful, educational and relevant.

We were impressed with the scale and quality of the three major collections. From Salvador Dali, Mark Chagall, and Thomas Kinkade framed art to sculpture of all kinds. So much to see and the price of admission is reasonable enough to go back for another look.

Loved it! Was looking for Rev Billy Graham on the wall of influencers. He should be there.

Beautiful museum with a wide selection of artwork and sculptures.

I really enjoyed this experience. The art was beautiful and mostly relevant to the theme. Some pieces to my breathe away and brought some stories to life. The h Holocaust Exhibit was revealing and inspiring. You must visit this museum. We went for a women's outing for our church. Loved it.

Art is so beautiful and it makes you think

I love art museums and I make it a point to visit as many as possible when in any given city. I spent 3 hours going through and looking at each piece. Listening to audio. They had many interactive activities throughout the museum, which was a fun way to connect with the artwork. I enjoyed this museum and thought it was really well done!

Brought a group of high school students here. The curators/supervisors were very accommodating and professional. Even took the time to introduce the students to visiting sculptor that talked to the kids about the pieces he had on display. Everyone was very knowledgeable and took time to challenge the students and make them think critically about what they were observing. So much to take in. I will definitely come back with my family and friends. Such incredible art, artifacts, collections. I can’t recommend this wonderful place enough.

The Museum of Biblical Art is a magnificent and unique setting for a high-end, intentional wedding. The grounds are gorgeous, but the interior of the museum offers a level of sophistication and historical depth that is truly unmatched. As a photographer, I was absolutely captivated by the collection of "old world" artifacts—seeing the intricate details of the historical Ketubahs and the stunning craftsmanship of the Chuppahs adds such a sacred, "Old Money" elegance to the day. The museum provides a cinematic, editorial backdrop that feels both grand and deeply personal. The natural light and the rich textures of the art create a soft, high-fashion glow, making every portrait feel like a timeless piece of history. It is a breathtaking destination for couples who want their wedding to feel soulful, cultured, and incredibly polished.
